Born and brought up in North Bengal, Anchal has always been attached to nature and the environment. While pursuing her B-tech in IT, she came across a landfill in Kolkata and found her cause, to work in the waste management sector. Anchal, in her free time, enjoys terrace gardening.

At Saahas, she manages the Kitchen Se Kitchen Tak project for the RWAs in Gurugram.
