What is E - Waste ?

Any equipment that runs on electricity or battery that is no more in a working condition is called e-waste. It includes computer & peripherals, CFLs appliances like shavers, blenders, electronic iron etc.

Why is it Valuable & Hazardous ?

E-waste contains trace amounts of valuable metals and Rare Earth Elements that need to be extracted and reused. It also contains toxic chemicals such as Lead, Mercury, Arsenic, which are harmful to human health.

What to do with E - Waste ?

Do not sell your e-waste to informal sector. As per the e-waste rules, 2016, it is the responsibility of every consumer to ensure that their e-waste is sent to authorized recyclers.
