  • Aviral was a pilot project that aimed to reduce the amount of plastic waste entering the Ganga in the two holy cities of Haridwar and Rishikesh. It was powered by the Alliance to End Plastic Waste (Alliance) and implemented by the German development agency GIZ, in cooperation with Saahas NGO and Waste Warriors Society, with support from the Municipal Corporations of Haridwar and Rishikesh in developing approaches for sustainable and replicable plastic waste management solutions.
