The objective of the project was to set up solid waste management systems as per SWM Rules 2016, in the villages of Karoda, Dish, and Ajmeripur, In Alwar, Rajasthan. In order to achieve total sanitation, it is important to look beyond achieving ODF status, to implement safe and scientific disposal of solid and liquid waste. Safe sanitation & hygiene practices have a direct impact on public health, especially of vulnerable sections of society, the economy, and the environment. This program addressed the solid waste management portion of Sanitation.
This program covered the following villages,
Phase 1: Karoda, having around 400 HH
Phase 2: Dhis and Ajmeripur, approximately having 300 HH each.
